ACS's Lighting Control (LC) Panel is an industrial controlpanel with contactors and other control elements including a user friendlymicrocomputer based, two channel electronic time switch (timer). This allowsfor the automatic control of the exterior lighting of the restaurant. Channel1 includes road sign(s), fascia signs, roof signs, roof beam and soffitlight circuits. Channel 2 is assigned to the parking lot lighting circuits.Timed parking lot light control gives employees leaving the building at night the security of being able to walk to their vehicles in a lighted environment.
The LC Panel uses a roof mounted photocell, which prevents the exterior lighting circuits from turning ON while daylight is present. The photocell has a sliding cover, which controls the amount of light sensed by the photocell adjusting its sensitivity. The electronic time switch works in conjunction with the roof mounted photocell by turning light circuits ON or OFF during periods of darkness.
The timer can be programmed with up to 42 ON or OFF events, in any combination. If the same ON or OFF time is used on more than one day, it is countedas a single event, even if it is used every day of the week. The timerhas an internal battery, which saves the time, and any events programmedinto its memory in the case of a power failure. The battery will hold theinformation for about 14 days.
The LC panel also provides the user with a switch, labeled "AUTO-MAN", that allows one to bypass the photocell control feature. When the switchis in MAN (manual) position, the photocell no longer has any effect onthe exterior lights.
